Aransas Propane has been in business at the same location since 1948. The Herrods-Rita and Ray are the third owners of Aransas Propane Company. They have owned the company since 1996. The Herrods are responsible for the new building where the office is presently located.

Aransas Propane is the only company in Aransas County or Southern San Patricio County to do service on propane appliances and equipment for their customers. They are also the only company that will pipe a new house for propane.

Aransas Propane also offers a "Check and Fill" program, where customers can keep their propane tank filled at all times.

Aransas Propane services Aransas County and San Patricio County, as well as parts of Nueces County, parts of Refugio County, Tivoli, and Woodsboro.
